After nearly seven years of investigation, two Chicago police officers face firing for roles in fight allegedly sparked by racial slur

Officers Marc Jarocki and Michael Kelly sat on desk duty for almost seven years while being investigated for a fight in a downtown parking garage allegedly started by the use of a racial slur. In late August, Chicago police superintendent David Brown moved to dismiss the officers on several allegations, including that they failed to come to the aid of a third officer at the scene and failed to call 911 or to notify anyone from the police department about the incident.
