Police Misconduct: Chicago Public Schools Board has Voted to Keep Police Officers in Schools, Despite Student Protests

The Sun Times reports that the Chicago Public Schools Board has voted to renew its contract with the Chicago Police for one year, meaning that officers will remain in schools. However, the contract renewal came with modest reforms. Officers can no longer intervene in school discipline or enter student’s information into CPD’s controversial gang database. Read more here.
